In the time between two editions of Pula Film Festival, as many as four children’s films from Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia have seen notable success in domestic cinemas: Beanie, How I Learned to Fly, Cricket & Antoinette, and The Diary of Paulina P. The conversation will focus on the key elements of their success – from choosing the template and casting to promotion and distribution.

As many as five films from the programme of this year’s Pula Film Festival (Hotel Pula, Have you seen this woman?,Man without guilt, Wake Me, Only when I laugh) have been developed through RE-ACT, the initiative designed to promote cooperation between the funds in Friuli Venezia Giulia and film centres in Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia. The conversation will focus on the process of developing films through this initiative, the opportunities that this cooperation has provided, and about room for improvement.
